LUXURIOUS ESCAPE: The George Blucher House Bed & Breakfast Inn is decorated with American and French antiques. Each room in the home is named after one of the Bluchers’ six children.

B&Bs: Romantic to rustic

Guests can sleep in cuddly Victorian or former barn

Bed and breakfasts in the Coastal Bend are not just different from the grand Victorians on the East Coast, but they are also very different from each other.
Visitors can see the historic influence in bed and breakfasts in Rockport and Corpus Christi, they can have a taste of ranch life in Sandia, Kingsville and Refugio, or be close to the water on Padre Island and Ingleside-on-the-Bay.
And the big season is weekends. Be romantic. Go hunting. Paddle a canoe. Seclude yourself from the outside world. All can be found in South Texas’ bed and breakfasts.
