| Hot weather and humidity encourage casual attire in workers and diners. |
No shirt, no shoes, no service - but only out of respect
for health department authority.
Beyond that, just about anything goes. The
South Texas wardrobe is a Darwinian adaptation to climate
and laid-back attitude. Even bankers and diners at the
most upscale restaurants are known to dress down.
"It's probably the atmosphere," said Sol
De La Garza, a wardrobe consultant at Men's Wearhouse.
"The weather for the most part is the big factor in this."
Silk, cotton, rayon and all their various
and sundry blends are the most popular fabrics for South
Texas living, De La Garza said.

A lawyer in jeans and a Tshirt (though not
in court).

Football jerseys, jeans, shorts and sandals
(on men and women)
American Bank's dress code
Either professional attire, like coats and
ties, or casual clothing with the bank's logo, such as
polo shirts with khakis and topsiders.
Corpus Christi Town Club _dress code
As casual as you want to in the casual dining
room. For the crystal room, jacket and tie.
Republic of Texas restaurant _dress code
Semi-formal to casual - i.e., slacks and
a button-up shirt.
