50 reasons we love Corpus Christi

Really, there are a lot more than 50

The reasons to love Corpus Christi are limitless, but space in this section isn't, so we abbreviated our list to 50. Some of those reasons are obvious - the beaches, the bayfront, fishing, sailing, Mexican food. Others are not - people not from Corpus Christi who have invested here because they see potential right under our noses, and successful people who love Corpus Christi even though they moved away, and who continue to do big things for the city from afar.

And still others, we hope, are likely to generate debate - the sea creatures that add a bit of danger, and therefore adventure, to our outings into the water; trial lawyers who, like 'em or not, put Corpus Christi on the cutting edge of legal issues; and Jack Gordy, dedicated tormentor of city officials, who has fought City Hall and won more than once.

We offer this list for you to ponder and appreciate Corpus Christi.
