Four schools offer a range of degrees and courses
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Located on its own 240-acre island, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi features modern classroom buildings, support facilities and student apartments. Surrounded by the waters of Corpus Christi and Oso bays, the campus of this four-year university is approximately 10 miles from downtown Corpus Christi.
With a student population of about 8,000, the Island university offers 61 degree programs in the four academic colleges, including 34 undergraduate programs and 27 graduate programs, two doctoral programs and five pre-professional programs.

Texas A&M University-Kingsville
With more than 6,800 students enrolled, Texas A&M University-Kingsville has grown to include 250 acres and 80 buildings at its main campus and 545 acres at the university farm. The university offers 53 bachelor’s degrees, 62 master’s degrees and five doctoral degrees.
The four-year university celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2000.

Del Mar College
This community college enrolls some 25,000 credit and noncredit students each year. The national higher education publication, Community College Week, continues to list the college among the nation’s top two percent of community colleges granting associate’s degrees to Hispanic students, who make up nearly 56 percent of the student population.
Del Mar offers Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees in more than 50 university transfer majors and Associate in Applied Science degrees, Enhanced Skills Certificates, and Certificates of Achievement in more than 80 occupational fields.

Coastal Bend College
Coastal Bend College has one campus in Beeville and centers in Alice, Kingsville and Pleasanton. The college offers small classes and free tutoring and special seminars at its Learning Assistance Center. The computer-assisted instructional center is staffed with tutors who work one-on-one with students.
