Youth-oriented activities at NCJLS's 2002 Youth
Day
The Nueces County 4-H and Youth Development Committee will have a Youth
Day at the 2002 Nueces County Junior Livestock Show.
Youth Day is an opportunity for 4-H clubs, FFA/FCCLA chapters and other youth
organizations to set up booths with fun activities for youths. It allows for clubs
to promote their organizations, meet new people and have fun at the same time.
Youth Day will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 in the East Wing of the Showbarn.
Last year, Youth Day participants viewed exhibits by the Coastal Bend Bay
and Estuaries Program, "Ocean in Motion" by the Texas State Aquarium, 4-H County
Council, as well as various 4-H and FFA organizations.
About 750 youths participated in the event in 2001. To get involved with the
2002 Youth Day, contact the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show office at 387-5395.
