Pigs are an entertaining part of the competition at the Livestock Show.

Livestock show auction rules

For the 2002 sale, the following rules are in effect for the Buyers Arena:

  • A buyer's number admits only two people to the arena.
  • No exhibitors will be allowed in the arena unless accompanied by a registered buyer or if that exhibitor is working as a runner at that appointed time.
  • New buyers will pay a $50 registration fee at the gate - this amount is credited toward any add-ons or purchases they make at the sale.
  • Exhibitors with gifts for their buyers may fill out a card at the buyers arena entrance to put with their gift and a runner will deliver the gift. The exhibitor will not be admitted to the arena.
