Animals are subject to drug testing due
to Residue Avoidance Program
The Nueces County Junior Livestock Show Residue Avoidance Program is designed
to raise awareness and teach the proper uses of animal health products.
All animals entered in the show are subject to drug testing.
There are many products intended to keep your projects healthy - even the feed
you are using probably contains some form of antibiotic.
The important thing to remember is to read the label and follow the directions
as specified.
he label will tell you everything you need to know about a particular product,
including for which type of animal it can be used, for what conditions, how much
to use and how to administer it.
It is very important to follow these label directions because use of any product
for anything other than its intended use is illegal.
Please be aware of the animal health products you give your animal, if any.
If you have any questions, contact your veterinarian immediately.
