Online survey on race relations in Corpus Christi

The Caller-Times asked these questions of about 500 residents in a random telephone poll in 1998. Following are the results:
1. Did you ever date someone of a different race or ethnicity?

   Yes -- 42 percent
    No -- 57 percent

    Among Anglos:
    Yes -- 40 percent
    No -- 59 percent
    Not sure -- 1 percent

    Among Hispanics:
    Yes -- 41 percent
    No -- 59 percent

   Among blacks:
   Yes -- 52 percent
   No -- 48 percent
