If you need it at home, you’ll also need it at camp

When you go camping bring everything that you would need at home. You need to bring:

  • Sunscreen
  • A pillow and cover or sleeping bag
  • Food
  • Clothes
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Comb or brush
  • Lots of water
  • Extra shoes in case one pair gets wet
  • A hat
  • Flashlight
  • Batteries
  • Backpack
  • Ice chest
  • Tent
  • Radio
  • Folding chairs
  • Water jug
  • Insect repellent
  • Lanterns
  • Materials to build and start a campfire
  • Marshmallows

Camping is like sleeping in your own backyard, except you can’t run in to get whatever you forgot to bring.
It’s hot and sticky but it’s extremely fun. The fun part of camping is the wilderness, swimming, and doing things that you never thought that you would do like kayaking, canoeing, or hiking.
