   Camping was a sporting event.
We did sports from baseball and football to canoeing and kayaking.
Canoeing and kayaking is fun and a lot of exercise. It builds up your arms from paddling so much. Another fun sport we did when we were on our camping trip was baseball. We also played football. It was boys against girls in both of the events. The girls won in both events because they had big, buff coaches on their side. But I still had fun, win or lose.

We played volleyball but that wasn’t a boy vs. girl battle. We just split the teams in half by using two captains to pick the players. We were not keeping score, but we had a lot of fun.
But it’s not all games because camping is not easy. You have to work on everything that you need. Just like you have to barbecue your food. It’s not like at home where you can just zap it in the microwave. You even have to sleep in a stuffy tent on the hard ground and that’s not as comfortable as sleeping on a bed and having air-conditioning.

But that’s the whole reason of camping.
