Gonzales Ramos might be better looking than your average judge, but she said good
looks don’t matter much in a courtroom. "When people come to court, they have
a certain expectation of a judge, and most are kind of nervous and just focused
on their case," Gonzales Ramos said.  But
some lawyers in the past have treated her differently because she’s a woman, she
said.
"Early on, some attorneys probably tried to push us (female judges) a lot
more, get away with more," Gonzales Ramos said. "You just have to be firm with
them." There’s beauty on the bench, but there’s order in the court.
