Despite being a knockout, Jennifer Marie Nesmith has always struck out when it
comes to romance. She has never had a boyfriend. "Cute boys don’t pick me. Well,
OK, the right cute boys don’t pick me."
Nesmith, a former Carroll High School cheerleader, didn’t blossom as a student
until she reached college, where she is studying to work in public relations and
maintaining a 3.9 grade-point-average.
 In
high school, "I didn’t pay attention to my schoolwork and had fun with my friends,"
she said. "I regret not doing as well as I could. But I’m making it up for it
now."
Making up for it means that Nesmith rarely gets to go out and let loose. "I just
don’t go anywhere," she says. "When I’m out having fun I feel guilty, like I’m
neglecting I’m schoolwork."
