After the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Dolan drove to New York and spent four days
digging through the dust, dirt and rubble alongside New York firefighters. In
February, the Corpus Christi Evening Rotary Club honored him as Firefighter of
the Year.
After Sept. 11, Dolan has noticed that women seem more attracted to f irefighters
than ever. A few weeks ago, Dolan was with several other firefighters giving a
demonstration at Del Mar College, when a car full of females in need of a little
cooling off approached the men.
"They said, ‘I want a firefighter,’" Dolan remembers.
Apparently, putting out fires is a never-ending duty.
