Paintings created by the children of Oasis of Hope Orphanage will be on display at the Asian Cultures Museum & Educational Center until Nov. 20.

   A collection of art work created by the children of Oasis of Hope Orphanage will be on display at the Asian Cultures Museum & Educational Center, 1809 N. Chaparral St., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. The exhibit, entitled "Hearts of Yanji," will remain on display Tuesdays through Saturdays until Nov. 20. Admission to the museum is $3 for adults, $2 for students and $1 for children 12 and younger. For information, call 882-2641.

A seafood dish will be the centerpiece as the Texas State Aquarium presents Sensational Seafood with Gretchen Hurt at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

   Oh, how good fresh seafood can taste! Now learn a little more about whipping it up. Head on over to the Texas State Aquarium, 2710 N. Shoreline Blvd., and find out more about preparing it when the Sensational Seafood program kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Gretchen Hurt of the Republic of Texas behind the stove.    HISTORIC WORKSHOP: Deadline to register for the Texas Historical Commission's workshop "Preserving Your Historic Resources" is Monday.
