Welcome to the Nueces County Courthouse restoration site. We have created this site so you, the public, can monitor and keep track of the changes that will take place throughout the entire 16 month process.
McGloin + Sween has worked closely with Nueces County since 1999 to bring the building back into County ownership, prepare a master plan, secure funding, and begin a phased restoration of this 80,000 square foot Greek Revival temple of justice. A project team has been assembled of tax-credit financing specialists, private fundraisers, and a board of community leaders to develop the next phases of the project, expected to be a $25+ million project to complete the rehabilitation and convert the building into a science and technology museum.
