26 Paleterias

Paleterias are proof that nothing's impossible, serving Mexican food that's dessert but is good for you. At best, health-wise, is the fresh fruit cup mixed with chili powder and lime juice. At worst - though slightly better for you than the Eskimo pie it resembles - is the chocolate-flavored paleta on a stick. Unlike the Eskimo pie, paletas come in several flavor options, some of them a healthier fruit-based. Some of the flavors include mango, watermelon, banana nut, pineapple, hortacha (sweet rice water), bubble gum, mixed fruit (with real fruit chunks), and margarita.
