48 Hot weather hockey

There are still 90-degree days between October and April, when hockey is played. When the Corpus Christi IceRays aren't using the ice inside Memorial Coliseum, the public is allowed onto the ice for $3.
   Public skating sessions held last October-April: 140
   Average crowd per session: 125
   Sessions per week: 4-5.
   Length of sessions: 90 minutes
   Average crowd per session 1999-2000: 80
   Average per session 1998-99: 70
   Average in 1997-98: Zero. There was no ice skating in Corpus Christi before the 1998-99 hockey season.
   Youth hockey league participants: 70 (ages 5-17)
   Adult league participants: 60 (ages 18-up).
   Hottest day, 2000-01 season: 91 degrees, April 14
