IceRays add goalie, forward
, pending approval from league
Barring the unexpected, Ranger and Soke will skate this season for Corpus Christi hockey team

The Corpus Christi IceRays signed two players to one-year contracts Friday, and Coach Taylor Hall said he is awaiting approval from the Western Professional Hockey League which would make the signings official.
Barring an unforeseen complication, forward Carlos Soke and goalie Phillipe Ranger will be the two newest additions to the IceRays.
Hall said he knew little of Ranger, only that the goalie played in a French league last year. Soke, who played with the WPHL's Lake Charles Ice Pirates last season, was described by league officials as a ``physical force.'
