Caller-Times
The Corpus Christi IceRays announced Wednesday the signing of power forward Craig Coxe and right winger Geoff Bumstead.
Coxe, 34, joins the IceRays after serving as a player/assistant coach with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League, and ranks in the top ten on the Oilers all-time goals, assists, points and penalty minutes lists.
A fourth-round draft pick if the Detroit Red Wings in 1982, Coxe's 14-year professional career includes time in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks.
Bumstead comes to the IceRays after a season with the Reno Rage of the West Coast Hockey League and a brief stint with the Utah Grizzlies of the International Hockey League. He also previously played under IceRays Coach Taylor Hall for the New Mexico Scorpions.
