In the News: IceRays Expansion Draft: The Western Professional Hockey Leagues' newest teams selected their first seletions in the 1998 expansion draft on Saturday.
The Corpus Christi IceRays selected 6-foot, 3-inch, 220 pound defenseman Kevin Barrett, who played for Shreveport during the 1997-98 season.
The IceRays selected first in the draft, which drew from a pool of 60 players made available from the 12 1997-1998 clubs.
