Buddy Gough's guide to fishing in the Coastal Bend

Coastal Bend anglers can pick and choose from a cornucopia of fishing opportunities reaching from bluewater at the 100-fathom curve to freshwater lakes in the Brush Country.

Saltwater fishing, however, is the preference among area anglers, who direct most of their attention to coastal bays behind barrier islands.

With the Aransas Bay system to the north, the Upper Laguna Madre to the south and the Corpus Christi Bay system in between, the Coastal Bend offers a wide range of distinct fishing terrain.

Where would you like to fish?

We also have information, including color images, of common saltwater game fish.
