Item of the day:
Broken windows

  • 3000 Stinson Street
A 35-year-old man was arrested when police found him sitting on the lawn of a house. He was accused of breaking the home's windows. Police said that when they arrived and asked the man what he was doing, he told them, "I'm breaking the windows on my uncle's house." The man told police he was upset because he found out that his uncle died and hadn't left him the house in his will.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • 3000 Hanzi Drive
A 23-year-old woman told police that her 39-year-old neighbor shot out her front window with a BB gun. The man told police that he had broken the window, but with a rock he was throwing at a seagull, not a BB gun. The man told police he would pay for the window and admitted he does own a BB gun.

  • 3000 Caravelle Parkway
A 34-year-old man told police that a portion of an apartment complex fence had been crashed into. The man, who works at the complex, said he has looked all over, but can't find the missing piece of the wrought-iron fence. Police said aqua-colored paint was found on the remaining portions of the fence, and skid marks could be seen coming from a club in the adjacent shopping center.

  • 1000 Rickey Drive
A 57-year-old man reported hearing a crash outside his house and seeing a vehicle drive away from his 33-year-old son's car. The man said he then saw that his son's car had been rammed from the back and pushed up 12 inches, hitting the house. The younger man said the description of the vehicle fits that of his girlfriend's husband and said the two have had problems with each other.
