GM planning to sell offits Delphi parts business
Associated Press
DETROIT - General Motors Corp. plans to sell off its big Delphi parts business next year, further reducing the size of the No. 1 automaker as part of the company's effort to focus on assembling cars and trucks.
Delphi operates 208 wholly owned plants, 46 joint ventures and 27 technical centers in 37 countries.
Most employees working for Delphi, about 200,000 worldwide, would become employees of the independent company with essentially the same level of pay and benefits.Post your comments about local news eventsFront Page || Main Index || News || Business || Texas || South Texas Outdoors || Birdwatching || Sports || Entertainment || Selena || Education || South Texas Attractions || World Wide Web
