The Northern Mockingbird is a slender gray bird with white outer tail feathers and white wing patches. It is our resident bird which provides background music, original and imitated, in every residential neighborhood.
Spring migrants, Northern Orioles travel in flocks. Males have black hoods and backs and bright orange rumps and underparts. Females are olive above, yelowish below. Look for them in Blucher Park and across the street around Blucherville, on loquat trees.
