    Alfred "Bud" G. Trube, a retired teacher, died Feb. 14, 1999. He was 77. Art Alaniz

    LAS VEGAS, N.M. -- Art Alaniz, a retired B.A. Neuman Drilling Co. tool pusher, Army veteran and Baptist, formerly of Freer, died Feb. 15, 1999. He was 63. Survivors include his wife, Luan; three sons, Michael Alaniz of New Mexico, Curtis Alaniz of McAllen and Robert Alaniz of Carrollton; two daughters, Donna Beam of Rockport and Debra Alaniz of Las Vegas, N.M.; two brothers, Oscar Alanis of Freer and E.J. Alaniz of Marlowe, Okla.; two sisters, Sonia Alaniz and Elvia Stolzenburg, both of Houston; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 20 at Garza Funeral Home, Freer. Arthur B. Jock

    Arthur B. Jock, a retired civil servant and Navy veteran of World War II, died Feb. 15, 1999. He was 74. Survivors include his wife, Gloria; two daughters, Laurie Comparato of Conroe and Theresa Oglesby of Houston; two sons, Patrick Jock of Huntsville and Christopher Jock of Houston; a sister, Pauline Jock of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Aurora S. Smith

    Aurora S. Smith died Feb. 15, 1999. She was 76. Cora E. Harmon

    LONGVIEW -- Cora E. Garner Harmon, formerly of Corpus Christi, died Feb. 15, 1999. She was 86. David E. Peck

    MATHIS -- David E. Peck, a retired music teacher, band director in the Mathis and Agua Dulce independent school districts and Army veteran of the Korean War, died Feb. 16, 1999. He was 69. Survivors include his wife, Brenda; two daughters, Carol Hudson and Diane Schulenberg, both of Casper, Wyo.; a son, Bob Thornburg of Casper; a sister, Betty Brunner of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Lester Peck of Roswell, N.M.; a half-sister, Deana Peck of Manitou Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. David Gutierrez

    David Gutierrez, an Army veteran and a Catholic, died Feb. 15, 1999. He was 45.
