Corpus Christi's bayfront is more than where the city meets the sand.

Dining, recreation, arts and entertainment blend with the skyline and the water and offer a variety of activities at Corpus Christi's premier attraction.

The seawall is an ideal place for a scenic stroll or to Rollerblade, jog or cycle.

You can rest on some of the white slat benches that have been added this year or at the miradores del mar (overlooks by the sea).

Awaiting you at each stop is a chapter in verse of the area's rich history, dating back to the days of Spanish galleons.

Although windsurfing usually doesn't occur along the downtown bayfront, you can hike a short distance down Ocean Drive to Cole Park, where Oleander Point is one of the hottest spots in the area for competitive windsurfing.

And Corpus Christi boasts beaches downtown, in an area lined with luxury hotels and restaurants.

On the Lawrence Street T-Head, you can watch the finish of Wednesday night sailboat races.
