Chamber leaders aim for success
22-member board packs agenda. The chamber has supported Packery Channel, the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s efforts to attract the National Bowling Congress, Port Industries and others.


Chamber of Commerce presents a $10,000 check to Corpus Christi Yes group.

The Chamber of Commerce Board consists of 22 members that represent different businesses in the community. The Chamber of Commerce is proactive in supporting projects that will lead to new business and future growth.

The Chamber Board donated $10,000 to support the “Corpus Christi Yes” campaign and to put into action the support of the Chamber for the Packery Channel. The Chamber Board pledged $5,000 per year over the next 5 years to support the efforts of the Convention and Visitors Bureau to attract the National Bowling Congress to Corpus Christi for their national tournament.

The Chamber Board passed a motion to support the Port Industries position on the expansion of the Port Commission.

The Chamber Board is working to make the Chamber of Commerce more regional. It is also working with other business organizations such as the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Corpus Christi Black Chamber of Commerce to improve the business climate in Corpus Christi.

The recent membership drive brought in over 130 new members and numerous leads, bringing the membership total to over 1,700 members.
