Morales says he supports vouchers
From Caller-Times wire services
DALLAS - Victor Morales, a schoolteacher and Democratic Senate candidate, told a radio talk show host in a recent interview that he supports private school vouchers, the host said Wednesday.
A pro-voucher position would be an about-face for Morales, who has said he opposes giving public school students a government voucher to attend private or parochial schools.
Morales told The Associated Press he did not have time to comment Wednesday.

Jurors in Firestone case _will consider countersuit
Jurors in Matagorda County selected to hear evidence in a lawsuit against Bridgestone/Firestone also will be asked to consider the company's countersuit against two of the three women involved in a 1999 Ford Explorer rollover as the trial opens Thursday.
As the three college students traveled to Texas from California in June 1999, they were impaired by marijuana, were fatigued, and ignored operation instructions for towing the U-Haul trailer they rented, all of which contributed to the rollover, the tire company claims.
