Assorted sunglasses are a must, says Aaron Goldstein, 27. He models his favorite black Gucci sunglasses.

Aaron Goldstein, 27, owns Al's Jewelers at the Corpus Christi Trade Center and works in real estate. Goldstein enjoys history research, going to nightclubs and working out four days a week with his personal trainer.
Q: What's your craziest fashion item?
A: I bought a white long-sleeve Moschino shirt that goes with a blue vest. Both are outlined with yellow measuring tape. I bought them together at Joe Brand in Laredo and paid about $700. I like that shop because they carry different Italian lines.
Q: Is there something that you wouldn't be caught dead wearing?
A: Polo and Ralph Lauren knit shirts. They're just too '80s. They are very common and anybody can buy them.
Q: What accessories should every man own?
A: A casual belt and a dress belt, a watch and assorted sunglasses. I own 17 watches ranging from casual leather band watches to an 18-karat gold Rolex. The sunglasses I usually wear are Gucci and cover the entire sides of my eyes. They kind of remind me of Bono's sunglasses from U2.
Q: Most money ever spent on a fashion item:
A: I paid $1,650 for a Gianni Versace grey polyurethane winter jacket with wool accents. They only had three of the same style. This one was just the right fit and felt nice. I bought it at Joe Brand in Laredo in 1999.

Goldstein admires the designer fashions of Gianni Versace, Ermenegildo Zenga, Franco Moschino and Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

Q: Do you keep any older clothing items?
A: A reversible, gray, paisley print Gucci jacket. My parents bought it for me when I was 11 years old. It still fits and looks nice.
Q: What are your favorite shopping haunts?
A: Joe Brand, the Galleria in Houston, Neiman Marcus, Versace Boutique and Saks Fifth Avenue. They all carry fine merchandise in limited quantities so you know only a few people will have them.
Q: What item have you been searching for?
A: I've been looking for a chartreuse and cobalt long sleeve button down shirt. More than a year ago, I saw a celebrity wearing it for some awards show. I just don't remember who it was.
Q: What was your most recent purchase?
A: Three months ago, I purchased two pairs of Gucci shoes at Neiman Marcus in Houston and three Versace shirts.

Q: What are big-time fashion influences?
A: Designer celebrities such as Gianni Versace, Ermenegildo Zenga, Franco Moschino, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana influence my style. Their labels are chosen by actors and actresses, and these designers also create trends that others try to mimic.
Q: Your best bargain:
A: An $80 pair of white Versace boxers on sale for $20 at a Versace boutique in the Houston Galleria.
