Isles volleyball claims a win over Prairie View A&M

PRAIRIE VIEW - The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team posted its' fourth-consecutive victory with a 30-27, 30-20, 15-30, 30-13, victory over Prairie View A&M on Wednesday.
The Islanders, 10-10 on the year, were paced by Melanie Travis' 12-kill effort. Rockport's Laney Bardin and Lauren Smith each tallied 8 kills as A&M-CC completed the season sweep over Prairie View.
"We came in and dominated from the start and played with confidence," said Islander head coach Frances Kinnison.
Miyuki Terry, a sophomore from Houston, registered a season-high 6 kills and posted a team-high 10 digs in a reserve role.
A&M-CC, which finished its inaugural season with an 8-24 mark, will put its win streak to the test against Texas on Friday in Austin. This match is a makeup date for the originally scheduled September 14 meeting.
