   AGATHA CHRISTIE'S ADDRESS CLEARED

LONDON - Agatha Christie, that mistress of intrigue, left another small mystery in her memoirs - the location of the London home where she wrote "Murder on the Orient Express" and "Death on the Nile."
After some serious digging through the archives, English Heritage displayed a blue plaque on No. 58 Sheffield Terrace in Kensington, where Christie lived from 1934-41.
Emily Cole, an historian with the preservation society, said there was confusion at first when officials visited No. 48 Sheffield Terrace, Kensington - the address listed in Christie's autobiography.
"When I carried out further investigations at London's metropolitan archives, I discovered through electoral registers that Christie was listed as living at 58 Sheffield Terrace, not No. 48."
   SHORTLIST AWARD NOMINEES NAMED

NEW YORK - Ten music artists who have received critical acclaim but lack commercial success have been nominated for the first annual Shortlist award.
Among the nominees for the award are R&B singer Bilal, funk singer Nikka Costa, the cartoon rap group Gorillaz and British singer PJ Harvey.
The award ceremony will be held Nov. 19 in Los Angeles. Shortlist was created to honors artists whose albums sold less than 500,000 copies.
WORKS OF ART PAY HOMAGE TO VAN GOGH
OCALA, Fla. - Seventy works by artists including Jasper Johns, David Hockney, Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein will go on display at the Appleton Museum of Art in an "Homage to Van Gogh."
The exhibit, which honors Vincent van Gogh's artistic activity in Arles, France, opens today and is scheduled to run through Dec. 24.
