IceRays add another loss to skid, falling to Brahmas

Former Corpus Christi defenseman David Bourque scores game-winning goal for his new team in win, 3-2

From correspondent reports

Former IceRay David Bourque scored Fort Worth's game-winning power play goal with just 7:31 left in the final period to give the Brahmas a hard fought 3-2 victory over Corpus Christi in CHL action Friday night in Fort Worth.
Bourque's late-game heroics spoiled the IceRays' come-from-behind effort in the third period. Defenseman Jeff Potter tied the game at two for Corpus Christi only 1:24 into the final period. The Brahmas led, 2-1, headed into the final stanza thanks to two second period goals, one scored by center Chris Johnston and the other by 20-year-old Dallas Stars' prospect Jeff Bateman. It was Bateman's first professional goal.
Corpus Christi took a 1-0 lead at the 12:29 mark of the first period.
Forward Andy Disch banged home a rebound off a long shot from the right point by Potter. The goal came at the tail end of a IceRays flurry that saw them fire five consecutive shots at Brahmas goaltender Kory Cooper. Cooper was the Brahmas saving grace in that first period, as he turned away 18 of the 19 IceRays shots that he faced to keep the home team in the game.
With the win, the Brahmas improved their record to 2-1-1 on the season. Corpus Christi falls to 1-4-2 with the loss.
