   Antonio Z. Almaraz
   SAN DIEGO - Antonio Z. Almaraz, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the San Diego Veterans of Foreign Wars and a retired carpenter, died Feb. 28, 2001. He was 68.
   Survivors include three sons, Antonio Almaraz Jr. of San Diego, Roel Almaraz of San Antonio and Shawn Vansickle of Latrobe, Pa.; a brother, Zaragosa Almaraz Jr. of San Diego; a sister, Maria Serna of Lowell, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
   Services will be private.

   Lena N. Anderson
   MIDLAND - Lena Norine Free Anderson, a former Corpus Christi resident who started the Midland Hostess Service, a welcoming service, and also began a telephone answering service before working in the real estate industry and as a property manager, died Feb. 28, 2001. She was 84.
   Survivors include a daughter, Gigi Linne of Midland; a brother, Deering Free of Big Spring; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. March 3 at Ellis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
  
   Angelita C. Flores
   Angelita C. Flores died March 1, 2001. She was 98.
   Survivors include two daughters, Frances Castaneda and Dolores Romero, both of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
   Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. March 3 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.

   Serenity N. Flores
   Serenity Nikole Flores, infant daughter of Jennifer Ann Rodriguez and Juan Daniel Flores, both of Corpus Christi, died March 2, 2001.
   Other survivors include her grandparents, Rose and Enrique Espinoza and Daniel McGraw, all of Corpus Christi, and Mary Lou Flores of California; and great-grandparents Tony and Rosie Casares of Corpus Christi and Juanita Espinoza of Kingsville.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. March 3 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

   GEORGE WEST - Shawn Andrew Garza, a diagnostic tester with the Texas Department of Corrections, died March 1, 2001. He was 23.
   Survivors include his wife, Georgette; his father, Juan Garza Sr. of George West; his mother, Dottie Hirsch of Daleville, Ala.; a daughter, Daniella Fatima Garza of George West; a grandmother, Pela Valdez of Three Rivers; a sister, Erica Garza of Three Rivers; and a brother, Juan Garza, Jr. of Three Rivers; two half-sisters, Tana Garza of Lincoln, Neb., and Janie Lee Garza of Alice; and seven half-brothers, Mike, Johnny, Nikki, Blake and Mark Hirsch, all of Daleville, Ala., Chad Garza of Lincoln, Neb., and John Angel Briseno of Three Rivers.
   Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. March 4 at St. George Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 5 at St. George Catholic Church. Burial will be in George West Cemetery.
  
   Senora G. Gibbins
   BEEVILLE - Senora Gurina Lenning Gibbins, a retired cashier and a Lutheran, died Feb. 28, 2001. She was 87.
   Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Mendoza of Beeville, Ruth Rabanal of Redding, Calif., and Margaret Saltmarsh of Coos Bay, Ore.; a brother, Obert Stromme of Eugene, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
   There are no services planned.

   Maria de Jesus Gomez
   HEBBRONVILLE - Maria de Jesus Gomez, a homemaker, died Feb. 28, 2001. She was 87.
   Survivors include a daughter, Irma Stacy of Hebbronville; five sisters, Manuelita Falcon of Dallas, Hulda Huerta of San Antonio, Francisca Gomez, Santos Ramirez and Marina Perez, all of Hebbronville; a brother, Sigifredo Escobedo of Hebbronville; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
   Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. March 4 at Howard-Williams-Turcotte Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 5 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in New Hebbronville Cemetery.

   ROCKPORT - Marie Camerano Hensley, a registered nurse, died March 1, 2001. She was 68.
   Survivors include her son, Marlin Hensley II of Gig Harbor, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
   No services are scheduled.

   Nicki Langley
   BEEVILLE - Nicki Langley, a cook for Bee Community Action Agency, died March 2, 2001. She was 55.
   Survivors include two daughters, Catherine and Ramona Langley, both of Corpus Christi; a son, Eric Lott of San Marcos; a brother, John Tolliver of Beeville; and three sisters, Erlene Langley and Carol Tolliver, both of Beeville, and Marylyn Rivera of Beaumont.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. March 5 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home, Beeville. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Beeville.
  
   Saul Requenez
   Saul Requenez died Feb. 28, 2001. He was 76.
   Survivors include two sisters, Ramona Reyes of San Antonio and Isabel Alaniz of Corpus Christi; and two brothers, Alberto Requenez of Killeen and Gabino Requenez of Corpus Christi.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. March 3 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
  
   Joseph M. Rufner
   PORT ARANSAS - Joseph Mark Rufner, an Army veteran, died March 1, 2001. He was 50.
   Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Amanda Rufner of Port Aransas; and a sister, Marty Wolf of San Francisco.
   Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. March 3 at Community Presbyterian Church.

   James "Amen Jim" Sherbak, an oil field mechanic and Air Force veteran, died March 1, 2001. He was 67.
   Survivors include three daughters, Susiey Bigler-Terrell of Bloomington, Francye Miller of Tully, N.Y., and Vikki Williams of Lees Summit, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Lou Wagner of Pittsburgh, Pa., Audrey Markum of Williamsburg, Va., and Donna Harp of Brea, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

   Survivors include four sons, Charlie Walls, Jr. of Rockport, John and Isaac Walls, both of Houston, and Rudolph Walls of Corpus Christi; six daughters, Annie Jean Burns and Ada Matthews, both of Houston, Shirley Grimes of Kingwood, Mary Whitfield of Sugar Land, Bertha Bell of Los Angeles, and Rachel Luddington of Rockport; a brother, Melton Richard of Many, La.; a sister, Alpha Steward of Florien, La.; and 41 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. March 3 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Rockport. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery.

   ARANSAS PASS - Obed Olsen Weikleenget, a retired commercial fisherman, died March 1, 2001. He was 77.
   Survivors include his wife, Maggie Weikleenget of Seabrook; three sons, Richard Weikleenget of Bon Secour, Ala., Terry Weikleenget of Aransas Pass and Denny Weikleenget of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Shirley Holguin of Seabrook; two brothers, Enoch and Ruben Olsen, both of Minnesota; two sisters, Lydia Berthurson and Ester Olsen, both of Minnesota; and seven grandchildren.
   Services will be private.
