DECATUR, Mich. - Vernon L. Davis, a former employee of Avion Coach in Omaha, Neb., a member of Pheasants Forever and a former volunteer firefighter with the Decatur Fire Department, died Feb. 24, 2001. He was 62.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberley Robinson of Decatur, Mich.; a son, Vernon Davis of Decatur, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. March 3 at Newell Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

BEEVILLE - Mary Elia F. Estrada, a former medical secretary and a Catholic, died Feb. 27, 2001. She was 68.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Linda Hancock of Sugar Land and Janie Devora of Spring; three sons, James, John, and Stephen Estrada, all of Beeville; a sister, Olga Martinez of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Joe and Johnny Fernandez, both of Corpus Christi; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. March 1 at Trevino Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. March 2 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

ROCKPORT - Angie Lara Flores, an employee of the Rockport Post Office and a member of the Rockport Church of God, died Feb. 24, 2001. She was 55.
Survivors include her husband, Angel; eight daughters, Belinda Stabley, Cheryl Gaines, Christina Perez, Korina Salazar, Mari and Leonor Flores, and Brianna and Serena Herzog; two sons, Chris and Phillip Fricks; three stepdaughters, Veronica Dillon, Sylvia Klinglesmith, and Esther Dalzall; four stepsons, Joe, Charles, Joshua, and Gabriel Flores; three sisters, Carmen Brown, Lucy Pena, and Francis Pitts, four brothers, Felipe Lara, and Perfecto, Matias, and Margarito Vasquez; 38 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. March 1 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. March 2 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gregory Cemetery, Gregory.
Annie Lee Heldenfels
BEEVILLE - Annie Lee Heldenfels, a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Texas Extension Club and 4-H, died Feb. 27, 2001. She was 78.
Survivors include a daughter, Ivaughan Heldenfels of Portland.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. March 2 in Glenwood Cemetery.

ORANGE GROVE - Claudia H. King died Feb. 26, 2001. She was 84.

CONCEPCION - Luis Palacios Leal, a former businessman, a member of the Knights of Columbus of San Diego, a classical pianist, and a member of the Canary Island Descendant Association of San Antonio, died Feb. 27, 2001. He was 90.
Survivors include three sons, Luis Leal Jr. of Ramirez, Jose Leal of Robstown, and Victoriano Leal of Benavides; a daughter, Eloisa Coy of Dallas; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. March 1 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home, Benavides. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 2 at La Purisima Concepcion Catholic Church. Burial will be in San Diego Cemetery, San Diego.

ALICE - Noemi L. Leal died Feb. 27, 2001. She was 48.
Survivors include her husband, George; a son, Israel Molina III of Alice; a daughter, Luz Leal of Alice; two brothers, Andres Lopez of Odem and Gregorio Lopez of Alice; a sister, Margarita Lopez of Alice; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include a brother, Gilberto Martinez Jr. of Robstown; and two sisters, Adelaida Trevino and Ernestina Rodriguez, both of Robstown.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. March 1 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.

Cleo Pena, a retired special education teacher for the Corpus Christi Independent School District and a former eucharistic minister and active parishioner for St. Joseph Catholic Church, died Feb. 28, 2001. She was 73.
Survivors include a sister, Carmen Bohunicki of Warren, Mich.; and two brothers, Eugene Pena of Houston and Eddie Pena of Corpus Christi.

SAN DIEGO - Carlos G. Perez, a retired construction worker, died Feb. 27, 2001. He was 90.
Survivors include his wife, Sara; three sons, Antonio and Carlos Garcia, both of San Diego, and Romeo Garcia of Dallas; six daughters, Sylvia Hinojosa of Corpus Christi, Maria Garcia of Grand Prairie, Nora Garza of Victoria, and Nelia Lazos, Alma Mendoza, and Diana Cubriel, all of San Diego; a sister, San Juanita Lopez of San Diego; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

ROCKPORT - Minnie K. Tibbitts, a Winter Texan from Hebron, Ill., a former director of nurses at Harvard Rest Home in Harvard, Ill., a former village clerk for the Village of Hebron, and a member of Hebron United Methodist Church, Hebron Service Club, the T.O.P.S. Club, and the Harvard Moose Golden Agers, died Feb. 23, 2001. She was 82.
Survivors include her husband, Leo; a daughter, Dawn Jakic of Woodstock, Ill.; a son, Leo Tibbitts Jr. of Hebron; two sisters, Helen Brockman and Mary Kathryn Sherry, both of Hebron; three brothers, Donald and Gilbert Hortin, both of Albion, Ill., and Benjamin Hortin of Harvard, Ill.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. March 1 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Hebron. Burial will be in Linn-Hebron Cemetery, Hebron.

PORTLAND - Ethel Lucille Willis, a member and altar director of St. Christopher's by the Sea Episcopal Church, a charter member of St. Elizabeth's Guild, a member and former worthy matron of the Portland Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Social Order of the Beauceant, Corpus Christi Assembly No. 140, and Daughters of the Nile, Elidad Temple No. 134, died Feb. 26, 2001. She was 74.
Survivors include her husband, Evan; two sons, Harold and Ken Willis, both of Portland; a sister, Ingrid Jette of Maryville, Tenn.; a brother, Oscar Thompson of Brandon, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. March 1 at St. Christopher's by the Sea Episcopal Church. Burial will be in San Patricio Memorial Gardens.
