Van Gelders are originally from Missouri and have experimented with Texas' tropical climate by planting grapefruit, lemon and mandarin orange trees in their yard.
The Van Gelders will receive a $50 gift certificate and a floral arrangement from Turner's Gardenland. To nominate a yard for next month's award, call Pam Emmons at 814-1855.
