From staff and correspondent reports
The Corpus Christi IceRays added two players to their roster Thursday with the signings of defenseman Byron Pool and forward Richard Hartmann.
Pool participated in the IceRays' training camp last season before being traded to Monroe before the start of the regular season. He played eight games with the Moccasins before returning to Corpus Christi.
In 53 games last season, Pool compiled four assists and 93 penalty minutes.
Hartmann, a native of Bratislava, Slovakia, scored 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in just 44 games two years ago with Skalica (Slovakia). In his North American debut last year, he played in two games with the Idaho Steelheads of the West Coast Hockey League.
