   Manuel A. Castro
   KINGSVILLE - Manuel Arturo Castro, an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and a retired elementary school teacher for Kingsville Independent School District, died Jan. 3, 2001. He was 73.
   Survivors include two brothers, Fred Castro and Raul Garza, both of Kingsville.
   Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 5 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chamberlain Cemetery.

   Rolando B. Garcia
   HEBBRONVILLE - Rolando B. Garcia, a truck driver, died Jan. 3, 2001. He was 53.
   Survivors include his wife, Hilda; two daughters, Soila and Georgina Garcia, both of Hebbronville; two sons, John and Rolando Garcia Jr., both of Hebbronville; four sisters, Eudelia Garcia, Edelia Reyna, and Elsa Garza, all of Hebbronville, and Eloisa Mendieta of Kingsville; and three brothers, Gilberto Garcia of Hebbronville, and Roberto and Francisco Garcia, both of Houston.
   Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Howard-Williams-Turcotte Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Jan. 6 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in New Hebbronville Cemetery.
  
   Mikaela E. Guerra
   ALICE - Mikaela Elizabeth Guerra died Jan. 3, 2001. She was 3.
   Survivors include her parents, Javier and Lucinda Guerra of Alice; her grandparents, Juan and Rosita Rodriguez of Alice, and Joe and Diana Guerra of Green Acres; and her great-grandmothers, Hortencia Bautista and Patsy Lopez, both of Alice.
   Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 6 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Collins Cemetery.
  
   Mary A. Hayes
   ROBSTOWN - Mary A. Hayes, a retired cosmetologist and a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, died Dec. 30, 2000. She was 87.
   Survivors include a daughter, Mary G. Hayes.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 6 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery.

   Melanie L. Martin
   ARANSAS PASS - Melanie Lynn Martin, a customer service representative for MCI in Corpus Christi and a former employee of Aransas Pass Nursing Home, died Jan. 2, 2001. She was 31.
   Survivors include her parents, Doug and Dorothy Mueller of Aransas Pass; six brothers, Stanley, Kevin, Keith, and Tim Spicer, all of Minnesota, and Daniel Spicer and Douglas Mueller, both of Kansas; and six sisters, Marlene, Karen, and Kathleen Spicer, all of Minnesota, Brenda Spicer of Colorado, Kristy Cisneroz of Aransas Pass, and Debra Mueller of Corpus Christi.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 6 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
  
   Lisa C. Nisbet
   SAN ANTONIO - Lisa Carole Pointer Nisbet, former oncology support team coordinator for Methodist Hospital, died Jan. 3, 2001. She was 38.
   Survivors include her husband, Ed; two daughters, Michelle and Melissa Elizondo; her mother, Lyra Barnes Pointer; a sister, Mindy Fisher; a brother, Larry Pointer-Gibson; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pointer of Gainesville, Ga., and Carl Barnes of Clayton, Ga.
   Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Jan. 6 at First Presbyterian Church.

   Reymunda G. Salinas died Jan. 4, 2001. She was 87.

   ARANSAS PASS - Ashley Nicole "Pee Wee" Spicer, a dance student at Cinderella School of Dance and a member of Sunday School and the Awanas at First Baptist Church, died Jan. 2, 2001. She was 7.
   Survivors include her grandparents, Doug and Dorothy Mueller of Aransas Pass.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 6 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
  
   Chelsea L. Spicer
   ARANSAS PASS - Chelsea Lynn "Schnicklefritz" Spicer, a piano student with Sherry Boatman and a member of Sunday School and the Awanas at First Baptist Church, died Jan. 2, 2001. She was 9.
   Survivors include her grandparents, Doug and Dorothy Mueller of Aransas Pass.
