   Edward H. Bozean died Feb. 22, 2001. He was 83.
   Survivors include his wife, Irene; two sons, Brad Bozean of Corpus Christi and Robert Bozean of Houston; and one grandchild.
   Services were held Feb. 23. Burial is in Seaside Memorial Park.
  
   Nelda Buentello
   KINGSVILLE - Nelda Buentello, a Wal-Mart Pharmacy employee, died Feb. 24, 2001. She was 27.Survivors include a son, Nicholas Gutierrez of Kingsville; her mother, Juana Villarreal of Kingsville; her father, Homero Gutierrez of Kingsville; and two sisters, Eva Gutierrez and Lahoma Garcia, both of Kingsville.
   Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery, Kingsville.
  
   Felicidad Chavez
   ROCKPORT - Felicidad Chavez died Feb. 23, 2001. She was 78.
   Survivors include five sons, Gregorio, Fernando, Erasmo and Ricardo Chavez, all of Rockport, and Luis Chavez of San Antonio; three daughters, Esmerelda Calderon of San Antonio, and Belinda Cantu and Evelyn Chavez, both of Rockport; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
   Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at Charlie Marshall Chapel, Rockport. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Feb. 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery.
  
   Debra A. Childress
   ARANSAS PASS - Debra Adele Childress died Feb. 22, 2001. She was 44.
   Survivors include her husband, Dennis; three sons, Kristen, Daniel and Frank Childress, all of Aransas Pass; her mother, Betty Miller of Santee, Calif.; and three sisters, Barbara Brownell of Santee, Calif., Beverly Haar of Denver and Diana Ray of Alaska.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Santee, Calif.
  
   Preston J. Dixon
   Preston James Dixon, infant son of Vernon and Lashanda Dixon, died Feb. 23, 2001.
   Other survivors include his sister, Ashley Dixon of Corpus Christi; a brother, Vernon Dixon of Corpus Christi; his grandparents, Robert and Willie Woodson and Flenoy and Venetta Phillips.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 at Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
  
   Ruth A. Dotson
   KINGSVILLE - Ruth Agnes Dotson, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, died Feb. 23, 2001. She was 71.
   Survivors include two sons, Clifton and Victor Dotson, both of Kingsville; a sister, Nora Jordan of Seguin; two brothers, John Collier of Bishop and Orville Collier of Seguin; and two grandchildren.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 26 at Dewville Cemetery, Dewville.
  
   Anna E. Hathaway
   THREE RIVERS - Anna E. Hathaway, a homemaker and member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Cancer Society and the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, died Feb. 23, 2001. She was 87.
   Survivors include a daughter, Mary Dodson of Richmond; and a brother, Fred Peterson of Corpus Christi.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Ray Point Cemetery.

   Abel E. Hernandez
   Abel E. "Billy" Hernandez, an oil field construction worker, died Feb. 22, 2001. He was 65.
   Survivors include his wife, Eloisa; three sons, David, Mario and Albert Garza, all of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Delma Luna of Portland; six sisters, Nelle Perez of Corpus Christi, Mary Escamilla, Dolores Perez, Esperanza Villagran and Hope Villarreal, all of Woodsboro, and Tommie Pippen of Rockport; a brother, Robert Hernandez of Corpus Christi; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 26 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
  
   Elwood H. Hill
   Elwood H. Hill, a World War II Army Air Forces veteran, a retired government employee and member of South Shore Christian Church, died Feb. 22, 2001. He was 89.
   Survivors include his wife, Sophie; a daughter, Jerrie Barker of Corpus Christi; a brother, Euel Hill of Temple; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 26 at the Seaside Funeral Home. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 27 in Davilla Cemetery, Davilla.
  
   Steve Land
   Steve Land, a pipefitter employed by Cust-o-Fab, died Feb. 22, 2001. He was 51.
   Survivors include his wife, Lisa; a daughter, Abigail Land of Corpus Christi; a son, Kevin Land of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Paulette Mayfield of Odem and Connie Lester of Houston; and a brother, Bobby Land of Richmond.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 in the Sinton Cemetery.

   SINTON - Arturo Martinez, a preacher, a peace officer for San Patricio County and a retired Reynolds Metals electrician, died Feb. 23, 2001. He was 72.
   Survivors include a son, Arnulfo Martinez of Sinton; four daughters, Leola Gorman of Edmond, Okla., Gracie Rodriguez of Petronila, Sylvia Gonzales of Cedar Hills and Belia Smith of Plainfield, Ind.; five brothers, Andres and Alfonso Martinez, both of Sinton, Abel Martinez of El Sobrante, Calif., Amador Martinez of Colorado Sprints, Colo. and Adalino Martinez of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Aurora Trevino of San Antonio, Adela Chapa of Sinton and Amalia Sorrell of Kilgore; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
   A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Borden Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in Eternal Rest Cemetery.
  
   Hazel Maxwell
   Hazel Maxwell, a member of Faith Mission Outreach Church, died Feb. 20, 2001. She was 65.
   Survivors include four daughters, Renita Jones of Houston, Ira Homer of Dallas, Estella Maxwell and Sylvia Allen, both of Corpus Christi; a son, Darryl Maxwell of Corpus Christi; four brothers, Sorrell, James and Steve Williams and Charlie Shaw, all of Houston; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at noon Feb. 26 at Faith Mission Outreach Church. Burial will be in Cenizo Hill Cemetery, Mathis.

   LONG BEACH, Calif. - Josephine Brown McLean, an educator who taught in Mathis and Flour Bluff, died Feb. 6, 2001.
   Survivors include two sons, Ralph Abbott of Oregon and Bill Abbott of Washington; a brother, D.C. Brown of Corpus Christi; a sister, Joyce Purcell of Longview, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

   Susana T. Morales, a saleswoman and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, died Feb. 23, 2001. She was 86.

   SAN DIEGO - Felipe Nunez, a construction worker, died Feb. 23, 2001. He was 68.
   Survivors include his wife, Maria Teresa; two sons, Eduardo Nunez of San Diego and Felipe Nunez Jr. of Springfield, Mo.; four daughters, San Juana Nunez of Kingsville, Patricia Sale of LaPlace, La., and Lillian and Francisca Nunez, both of San Diego; four brothers, Idelfonso, Francisco and Ruben Nunez, all of San Diego, and Raul Nunez of Corpus Christi; four sisters, Emilia Chapa, Manuela Laso and Emeteria Garcia, all of San Diego, and Lucia Martinez of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

   MATHIS - Shirley Janet Riley, a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, died Feb. 22, 2001. She was 66.
   Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Zapata of McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.; a son, Clinton Riley of Mathis; two brothers, Clyde McClintock of Corpus Christi and George McClintock of Livingston; and two grandchildren.

   Survivors include five daughters, Paula Garcia of Waco, Ramona Villarreal of Phoenix, Ariz., Olivia Capa of Mount Pleasant and Frances Soto and Susie Espinosa, both of Mathis; five sons, Carlos Salinas of Rochelle, Ill., Andres Salinas of McGregor, and Reynaldo, Eligio and Joe Salinas, all of Mathis; 46 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

   ROCKPORT - Marie Hiatt Tong, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Rockport Center for the Arts and the B&PW Association, died Feb. 22, 2001. She was 92.

   Salvador G. Torres, Jr.
   ALICE - Salvador G. Torres, Jr., a paratrooper in the Army in Vietnam and a licensed vocational nurse, died Feb. 23, 2001. He was 50.
   Survivors include his wife, Maria of Houston; two sons, Salvador and Francisco Torres, both of Houston; two daughters, Dianna Elizardo of Alice and Deanna Espinoza of Houston; his father, Salvador Torres of Alice; his mother, Jesusa Cantu of Alice; three brothers, Roberto Perez and David Guerra, both of Houston, and Adan Torres of Corpus Christi; a sister, Alma Buentello of Alice; and four grandchildren.

   KENEDY - Joe A. Walston Sr., a World War II veteran, a member of Runge VFW and member of Choate Baptist Church, died Feb. 23, 2001. He was 83.
   Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Algernon of Mobile, Ala. and Laura Warnex of Choate; two sons, Michael Walston and Joe Walston, Jr., both of Corpus Christi; a sister, Ethel Roescher of San Antonio; two brothers, Bradley Walston of Rockport and Ray Walston of Mybankcq; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at Eckols Chapel, Kenedy. Burial will be in Choatecq Cemetery, Choate.

   KINGSVILLE - Walter O. Wesley, retired motel owner and operator and a member of First Baptist Church, died Feb. 23, 2001. He was 84.
   Survivors include his wife, Naomi.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 26 at Turcotte-Piper Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Chamberlain Cemetery, Kingsville.

   HEBBRONVILLE - Amelia S. Zuniga, a homemaker, died Feb. 22, 2001. She was 63.
