King will be led by D.J. Petros, seeded No. 4 in boys singles, and Alyssa Palacios, No. 3 in girls singles.
The 16-team field begins play this morning, with play going on at the tennis center (boys and girls doubles), Del Mar College (girls singles) and Ray High School (boys singles).
The USTA will hold a clinic on the tennis center's courts from noon to 2 p.m. for players between the ages of 10-18.
