   EXHIBITS
   EXHIBIT: The exhibit "Exploring the Seas with Sound'' will be on display Aug. 17 through Feb. 17 at the Texas Maritime Museum, 1202 Navigation Circle, Rockport.    WOVEN PAINTINGS: An exhibit of "Woven Paintings'' by Kate Ware is on display at the lobby galley at the Art Center, 100 Shoreline Blvd. Exhibit is on display July 31 through Aug. 25. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Information: 884-6406.
   CLAY POTTERY EXHIBIT: "Earth Echoes,'' a clay pottery and sculpture exhibit featuring works by artists Marcia Dahlman, Kevin Finegan, Alice Smrcka and Lynn Woods, are on display in the main gallery, Rockport Center for the Arts, 902 Navigation Circle, in Rockport. Also: "Works in Clay'' by instructors Bill Hildebrand, Genie Mysorski and Analisa Kennedy, and their art students, are on display in the Garden Gallery of the center.    AWARDS: Coastal Bend Wildlife Habitat Education Program will host its First Biennial Awards Photo Exhibit through Aug. 17 at the Frost Bank Plaza. Information: 991-1624.
   PHOTOGRAPHS: Central Library Art Show to display photographic works by artist Eduardo Cervantes at the Corpus Christi Central Library, 805 Comanche St. Exhibit will continue through Aug. 31. Library hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
   ENDANGERED EXHIBIT: "Diversity Endangered" is an exhibit of 15 posters with color photographs, artists' renderings and concise text that examine the causes, consequences and potential solutions to the loss of biological diversity on Earth. Exhibit will be on display through Aug. 31 in the west wing of the Conner Museum, Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Museum hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Information: (361) 593-2810.
   CAMERA CLUB: The Botanical Gardens Visitors Center Gallery hosts a framed floral, wildlife and scenic photography exhibit by members of the Corpus Christi Camera Club, through Aug. 31. Featured photographers are Ruben T. Barrera, Judy Hogan, Stephen Lay, J.R. Rios, Octavio Rios and Octavio Salinas. Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.    WILDLIFE EXHIBIT: "Art and The Animal" exhibition is on display through Sept. 9 at the Art Museum of South Texas, 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd. and also at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, 1900 N. Chaparral St. Exhibit features paintings and sculptures by artists Roger Bateman from British Columbia; Guy Harvey of Grand Cayman Island; and also local artist Kent Ullberg. The Art Museum of South Texas will show animal art from around the world including African wildlife, nautical scenes, and birds of the region. The Museum of Science and History will showcase the natural habitats and cultural significance of animals in North, Central and South America.
   ULLBERG EXHIBIT: The Art Museum of South Texas has on display "Kent Ullberg: Celebration of Nature" exhibit through Sept. 2 at the museum, 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd. Exhibition includes sculptures gathered from local and area collections.
   EXHIBITION: Ron Sullivan: Retrospective Exhibition on display through Sept. 21 in the Joseph A. Cain Memorial Art Gallery, Fine Arts Center, Del Mar College. Gallery hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. A closing reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 21.
   REFLECTIONS: The exhibit "Reflections" is on display through Aug. 18 at the Janet F. Harte Public Library, 2629 Waldron Road, in Flour Bluff. Exhibit features artwork by artist Daryl Hause Tanner. Information: 937-6569.
   ONGOING EXHIBITS: The Texas State Aquarium has on display "Texas Trails" exhibit. Features crested caracaras, Swainson's hawks, red-tailed hawks, and other species from southern Texas habitats. "Texas Trails" is located in Conservation Cove, the aquarium's outdoor plaza.Also the "Seahorse Seatopia" exhibit on display at the aquarium through the end of the year 2001. Exhibit features the leafy sea dragons. The "Stingray Flats!" exhibit at the aquarium offers Shark/Ray Touch Time as a daily program offered.
   KIDS
   STORYTIME: Join Clifford the Big Red Dog for a special storytime at 3 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 5129 S. Blanche Moore Drive. Information: 992-1339.
   MUSIC AND MOVEMENT: A free Music and Movement Fair runs from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in Wolfe Recital Hall, Fine Arts Center Music Building, Del Mar College. Sponsored by Del Mar College's Project Teacher Start. Refreshments and door prizes. Information: 698-1082.
   SHIPS: Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History presents "Fire Up the Fogon" program at 11 a.m. Saturday at the museum, 1900 N. Chaparral St. , followed by "Bubbleology" at 11:30 a.m. Learn all about the world of bubbles. "Food for Thought" treasure hunt at 1:30 p.m. Also at 3 p.m. museum staff will present Tales from the Attic, "Victorian Natural History" Museum admission: $8 for (13 and up), $4.50 for children, and $6 senior citizens and active duty military (with ID). Free to members of Friends, Fleet and Pelican Pals. Children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult are admitted free to the museum on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.    FRANTIC FOR FROGS: Texas State Aquarium hosts "Frantic For Frogs'' for children ages 3-6 years from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Tuesday-Wednesday and Aug. 11 in the aquarium's lobby. Cost: $8 for member's children (parent/guardian free); $12 for non-member children, $9 for non-member adult/guardian. Information: 881-1341.
