Memorial Day Closings
In observance of Memorial Day, federal and state offices, most area banks and schools will be closed Monday. Most area tourist attractions will observe regular schedules.
GOVERNMENT SERVICES
Monday and Thursday garbage routes will be collected on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday and Friday routes will be collected on Wednesday and Friday. Light brush will not be collected Wednesday.
Recyclables will not be collected Monday. Check recycling schedules for next pickup date.
H-E-B recycling drop-off sites will be closed Monday.
The J.C. Elliott Landfill will be closed Monday.
Corpus Christi libraries will be closed Monday as will the H.E.B. Tennis Center.
Senior centers, recreation centers and the Multicultural Center will be closed Monday.
The Corpus Christi Marina, Al Kruse Tennis Center and city golf courses will be open.
U.S. Postal Service offices will be closed Monday and no mail will be delivered.
Corpus Christi Municipal Court, the Nueces County Courthouse and the Federal Courthouse will be closed.
Texas Department of Public Safety driver's license office will be closed.
MILITARY
Corpus Christi Army Depot will be closed Memorial Day, and other bases will be operating with holiday staffing.
BANKING
Most area banks, credit unions and savings and loans will be closed Monday; however, American Bank and International Bank of Commerce will be open.
ENTERTAINMENT
The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, Lexington Museum on the Bay, the Corpus Christi Greyhound Racetrack and Texas State Aquarium will be open throughout the holiday weekend.
The Asian Cultures Museum and Educational Center, Corpus Christi Botanical Gardens and Art Museum of South Texas will be closed Monday.
