Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. May 7 at Roberson Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Collins Cemetery.
Guadalupe M. Ganceres
MATHIS - Guadalupe Mota Ganceres, a former waitress and cashier and a Catholic, died May 4, 2000. She was 68.
Survivors include six daughters, Lydia Ganceres, Sylvia Carranza, Minerva Ganceres and Gloria Lopez, all of Mathis, Hilda Mabry of Hatley, Wis., and Selia Ramos of Needville; a son, Christopher Padron of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Eva Alaniz of Homestead, Fla., and Michaela Cuellar of Groves; two brothers, Antonio Mota of Lubbock and Jorge Mota Jr. of Mathis; 31 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. May 7 at Dobie Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. May 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Descanso Eterno II Cemetery.
Carolina O. Garza
BEEVILLE - Carolina "Carrie" Ochoa Garza, a 1951 A.C. Jones High School graduate and former bookkeeper for Reynolds Plumbing, died May 6, 2000. She was 65.
Survivors include her husband Luz; a daughter, Mary Elva Villarreal of Beeville; two sons, Benjamin and Luz Garza Jr., both of Beeville; two sisters, Mary Garza and Teodora Paiz, both of Beeville; and three grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. May 7 at Treviño Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. May 8 at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be in Beeville Memorial Park.
Joyce B. Hannah
ORANGE GROVE - Joyce Braxton Hannah, a computer operator, died May 5, 2000. She was 55.
Survivors include her husband, Billy; and a son, Lionel Braxton of Laurel, Md.
Funeral service will be private.

Neva S. W. Harper
Neva Scless Wood Harper died May 5, 2000. She was 90.
Survivors include a daughter, Lurlene Taylor; a sister, Louise Lanphier of Harlingen; a brother, Lester Wood of Hamilton; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. May 9 at Seaside Memorial Funeral Home.
Merritt L. Hulett
ROCKPORT - Merritt Lee Hulett, an income tax volunteer at the Aransas County Public Library and member of the First United Methodist Church, died May 6, 2000. He was 92.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Trager of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mary Ragsdale of Rockport; a brother, Neal Hulett of Granville, N.Y.; a sister, Georgiana Taylor of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Isreal M. Peña
ARANSAS PASS - Isreal Maldanado Peña, a Marine and Air Force veteran, died May 4, 2000. He was 76.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Vega of Robstown, Fabin Gomez and Guadalupe Lopez, both of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Delia Ortega of Laredo and Mary Ortiz of Aransas Pass; and one grandchild.

ROCKPORT - Rosendo M. "Smily" Ramirez Jr., a former H-E-B produce manager, died May 3, 2000. He was 36.
Survivors include his mother, Felicitas Ramirez of Groveland, Fla.; five brothers, Rene and Ramon Peña Sr., Christoval Peña Jr. and Daniel Ramirez, all of Groveland, Fla., and Gasper Peña of Rockport; and six sisters, Ida Hernandez, Cynthia Peña and Elsa Mae Ramirez, all of Rockport, Sylvia Cowart, Ella Jean Benavidez, Benita Garcia and Diana Garcia, all of Groverland, Fla.

KINGSVILLE - Maria Maclovia Reyes, a homemaker, died May 5, 2000. She was 72.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Cavazos of Kingsville; three sons, Pedro Reyes of Ricardo, Sam and Juan Reyes, both of Kingsville; a sister, Otila Sanchez of Indianapolis, Ind.; 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Asixlo Solis
ODEM - Asixlo Solis, a World War II Army veteran and retired gas station attendant, died May 5, 2000. He was 80.
Survivors include his wife, Juana; a son, Julian Solis of Victoria; a stepson, Alfredo Gomez of Sinton; a stepdaughter, Emma Cordova of Odem; four sisters, Cipriana, Dominga and Tilda Solis, all of Victoria and Antonia Solis of San Antonio; and three grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. May 7 at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in San Pedro Cemetery.
