   ROCKPORT - Kyle L. Birk, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a former radio operator in the Merchant Marine, died Dec. 25, 2000. He was 68.
   Survivors include a brother, William Birk of Connecticut; and a sister, Beverly Lundbury of Florida.
   Services will be private.

   Kathleen Z. Boek
   Kathleen "Kathy" Zarria Boek died Dec. 23, 2000. She was 45.
   Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany Brown of Silverthorne, Colo.; two sons, Robert Brown and Phillip Hawrylak, both of Corpus Christi; her father, Fausto Zarria of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Loretta McClory of Austin and Patricia Zarria of Corpus Christi; and a brother, Emil Zarria of Pflugerville.
   Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Dec. 29 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home. Burial is pending.
  
   Cancy Bryant
   BEEVILLE - Cancy Bryant, a former teacher for the Beeville Independent School District and a member of the Church of Christ, died Dec. 26, 2000. She was 59.
   Survivors include a daughter, LuAnne Forbes of Beeville; two sons, Tom and Tim Teboe, both of Beeville; a brother, Charlie Herrington of Marble Falls; and a grandchild.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Church of Christ. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

   Mary Kay Clark-West
   BEEVILLE - Mary Kay Clark-West, a homemaker, died Dec. 26, 2000. She was 87.
   Survivors include a son, Don Clark of Beeville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 30 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
  
   Avis Curry
   Avis Curry, a member of Waldron Road Baptist Church, head of the Women's Friendship Class, and a former worker for Metro Ministries of Flour Bluff, died Dec. 23, 2000. She was 88.
   Survivors include a son, Don Curry of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 28 at Waldron Road Baptist Church. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park.

   Sara B. Flores died Dec. 25, 2000. She was 91.
   Survivors include four daughters, Gloria Ortiz, Elizabeth Ramirez, Lucy Sendejo and Estella Jimenez, all of Corpus Christi; 22 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
   Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Dec. 28 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.

   Antonio Gonzalez
   SAN DIEGO - Antonio "Chore" Gonzalez, a laborer, died Dec. 26, 2000. He was 86.
   Survivors include his legal guardian, Herminia Perez of San Diego; two brothers, Juan Gonzalez of Corpus Christi and Reymundo Gonzalez of San Diego; and a sister, Aveda Guartuche of Corpus Christi.
   Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 29 at St. Frances de Paula Catholic Church. Burial will be in San Diego Cemetery.
  
   Ruth P. Goss
   HOBBS, N.M. - Ruth Pearl Goss, a former resident of Refugio, a former home economics and second-grade teacher for Refugio Independent School District, a member of Refugio Women's Club and First Baptist Church of Refugio, died Dec. 26, 2000. She was 89.
   Survivors include a daughter, Carol White of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Andy Goss Jr. of Houston; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 30 at Moore Funeral Home, Refugio. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Refugio.
  
   S. L. Martin
   ROBSTOWN - S.L. Martin, an Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of Halliburton Co., died Dec. 26, 2000. He was 74.
   Survivors include his wife, Elisa; two sons, S.L. Martin Jr. of Helotes and Richard Martin of Oakville; a sister, Evelyn Johnson of Texas City; a brother, Milton Martin of Baton Rouge, La.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
   Services will be private.

   Luisa B. Munoz
   Luisa B. Munoz, a retired manager and bookkeeper, a former secretary of the Parents Organization at the Corpus Christi State School, and a member and advocate for the Parents Association for Retarded Texans who was involved with the Autistic Foundation, died Dec. 25, 2000. She was 80.
   Survivors include two daughters, Diane Horowitz of San Diego, Calif., and Cynthia Munoz of Houston; a son, Rudy Munoz of Corpus Christi; a brother, Santos Benavides of San Diego, Calif.; and two sisters, Beatrice Benavides of Corpus Christi and Margaret Valle of Lockwood, Mo.
   Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 29 at Clifford Jackson Funeral Home.
  
   Adan L. Olvera
   Adan L. Olvera, a former employee of the Corpus Christi Water Department, died Dec. 25, 2000. He was 71.
   Survivors include his wife, Janie; three daughters, Randi Olvera, Sandra Valverde-Kirk, and Alicia Rogers, all of Corpus Christi; and two sisters, Janie Lopez of Corpus Christi and Mary Lou Gutierrez of Sinton.
   Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 at Clifford Jackson Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 29 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.
  
   Samuel A. Rodriguez
   Samuel Acosta Rodriguez, a custodian for Kaffie Middle School, died Dec. 25, 2000. He was 63.
   Survivors include his mother, Jesusa Rodriguez of Corpus Christi; a sister, Amparo Arredondo of Corpus Christi; and two brothers, Amador and Ismael Rodriguez, both of Corpus Christi.
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 28 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
  
   Yolanda M. Tamez
   KINGSVILLE - Yolanda M. Tamez, a homemaker, died Dec. 25, 2000. She was 52.
   Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Denise Villarreal of Corpus Christi and Veronica Rene Villarreal of Kingsville; two sons, Jose Rene and Jonathan David Villarreal, both of Kingsville; three sisters, Idolina Flores of Edinburg, Arabella Blevins of Cullman, Ala., and Dolores Tamez of San Antonio; a foster sister, Gloria Mota of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Benito and Samuel Tamez, both of Corpus Christi; and 10 grandchildren.
   Prayer services will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Howard-Williams-Turcotte Funeral Home, Falfurrias. Burial will be in Premont Cemetery, Premont.
