A&M-K women beat Incarnate Word, 78-55

SAN ANTONIO - The Texas A&M-Kingsville women grabbed an early lead and built it to a 78-55 victory over the University of the Incarnate Word Crusaders Tuesday night.
Former Ray High School standout Pat Lewandowski, the Lone Star Conference player of the week, led the 9-2 Javelinas with 24 points.
JAVS MEN FALL AT HOME: In Kingsville, scoring droughts at the beginning and end of the game doomed Texas A&M-Kingsville as it dropped a 73-66 decision to St. Mary's Rattlers at the Steinke Physical Education Center.
The Javelinas didn't score until more than four minutes had lapsed in the game and the Rattlers had a seven-point lead at the time. The Javs were behind the remainder of the first half and trailed, 39-28, at intermission.
