From staff and correspondent reports

Baylor pinch-hitter Kelly Shoppach's two-run single sparked a five-run sixth inning which led the Bears past A&M-Corpus Christi in the Islanders' last game of their inaugural season.
The Isles got on the board with a run in the top of the first inning. They held a 1-0 lead until Baylor tied the game in the third as Jaime Bubela drove in Steve Dorneman with two outs.
The Bears took the lead for good as Mike Huggins scored on an error by Islanders third baseman Ryan Clyde. Baylor then put the game away in the bottom of the sixth, as Matt Williams, Preston Underdown, Tim Hartshorn, Shoppach and Dorneman scored.
