Brooks S. Campbell
Brooks S. Campbell, a member of Faith Temple, died Sept. 10, 1999. He was 79.
Survivors include his wife, Diana; one daughter, Debra McNary of Davis, Calif.; a son, John Campbell of Corpus Christi; a sister, Nancie Alkek of Victoria; a brother, Sam Campbell of New Jersey; and five grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 14 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Entombment is in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Irma V. Castillo
TAFT - Irma V. Castillo died Sept. 13, 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Elvia Hernandez of Taft and Elsa Valdez of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Alma Perez and Alva Villarreal both of Corpus Christi and Aida Riley of Robstown; a brother, Samuel Villegas of Pasadena; and one grandson.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at Colonial Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sept. 16 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Taft Memorial Park.
Estella A. Davila
SINTON - Estella Adams Davila, a homemaker, died Sept. 13, 1999. She was 75.
Survivors include her husband, Demencio; three sons, Virginio and Gilbert Gomez and Rudy Davila, all of Sinton; two daughters, Elisa Candelario of Sinton and Eloisa Salinas of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Mack Adams of Corpus Christi and Gonzalo and Leocario Adams, both of Sinton; two sisters Guadalupe Cantu and Audona Salas, both of Sinton; 23 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Sept. 16 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in Eternal Rest Cemetery.
Gladys B. Duncan
ALICE - Gladys B. Duncan died Sept. 13, 1999. She was 81.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma William of Edinburg; a son, Ronald Smith of Alice; seven grandsons; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 15 in Falfurrias Burial Park.

Claudio L. Garcia
ALICE - Claudio L. Garcia, retired employee of the Naval Air Station-Kingsville, died Sept. 13, 1999. He was 71.
Survivors include his wife, Aurora; three sons, Claudio and Cesas Garcia, both of Corpus Christi and Corando Garcia of Alice; two daughters, Joyce Petersen of Alice and Judy Figueroa of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Jesus Garcia of San Antonio and Manuel Garcia of Alfred; a sister, Lorenza Garcia of Alfred; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sept. 15 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Sept. 16 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in New Collins Cemetery.
Evelyn Garcia
SINTON - Evelyn Garcia, infant daughter of Ruby and Adam Garcia, died Sept. 11, 1999.
Other survivors include her grandparents, Alejandro and Gloria Garcia, Beatrice Marin and Thomas Garcia, all of Sinton; and her great grandparents, Crecencio Garcia and Ventura Molina, both of Sinton.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 15 in the Eternal Rest Cemetery.

Zella M. Hardeman
ARANSAS PASS - Zella Mae Hardeman, a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, died Sept. 12, 1999. She was 93.
Survivors include a son, O.B. Davis of Aransas Pass; two daughters, Elexstein Pope of Aransas Pass and Mavis Caldwell of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 18 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home.
Isaac A. Lopez
ALICE - Isaac Anselmo Lopez, a veteran of World War II, a chef and former employee of Alice Independent School District, died Sept. 13, 1999. He was 73.
Survivors include four sons, Mateo Lopez of San Antonio and Frank, Roger and Isaac Lopez Jr., all of Alice; three daughters, Eva Escobedo of Alice, Josie Haynes of Freer and Velma Garza of Orange Grove; a brother, Leonel Lopez of Alice; a sister, Leonila Saenz of San Jose; 28 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Sept. 16 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in New Collins Cemetery.

ROBSTOWN - Diana "La Moe" Martinez died Sept. 13, 1999. She was 49.
Survivors include three sons, Pedro Alaniz Jr. of San Antonio, Ricardo and Jose Alaniz, both of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Nancy Alaniz of Robstown; two sisters, Patricia Ramirez of Robstown and Cynthia Hernandez of Corpus Christi; two brothers, David and John Ramirez, both of Corpus Christi; and 14 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at Robstown Memorial Funeral Home.
Toribio Ortiz
BEEVILLE - Toribio "Toby" Ortiz, Precinct 3 Bee County Commissioner and a Catholic, died Sept. 12, 1999. He was 54.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; a daughter, Yolanda Gamez of Florida; a stepdaughter, Juanita Perez of Beeville; three sons, Joe Ortiz of Beeville and Robert and Toby Ortiz Jr., both of Refugio; his father, Pedro Ortiz of Beeville; three brothers, Frank Ortiz of Houston, Tony Ortiz of George West and Henry Ortiz of Victoria; and 13 grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15 at St. James' Catholic Church. Burial will be in Beeville Memorial Park.

Alvin E. Tucker Jr.
Alvin Enos Tucker Jr., a Marine veteran, retired employee of Southwestern Oil Co. and a member of Metal Detectors Club and National Rifle Association, died Sept. 12, 1999. He was 71.
Survivors include his wife, Peggie; a daughter, Cathy Tichacek of Corpus Christi; two sons, John and Kenneth Tucker, both of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at Cage-Mills Funeral Home, Everhart Chapel.
Cruz Villarreal
BEEVILLE - Cruz Villarreal, an Army veteran of World War II and a former employee of the City of Beeville, died Sept. 14, 1999. He was 78.
There are no immediate survivors.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 17 in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
