Ingleside takes two matches in four sets over Trojans, Coyotes

The Ingleside volleyball team marched into Moody's gym and won two matches Tuesday night, beating the home Lady Trojans, 15-3, 16-14, and Alice, 15-4, 15-8.
Allison Foss had four kills and Amber Gonzalez had six aces in the Lady Mustangs' two-game win over Alice. September Huggins tallied six kills, while Leah Moncrief and DeeAnn Moore paced Ingleside with a combined 31 digs in the victory over Moody.
In the evening's other match, the Lady Trojans bested the Lady Coyotes in two games, 15-4, 15-6.
A CALALLEN DEF. BEEVILLE 15-13, 13-15, 15-6: Pushed to a third game by the Beeville Tuesday night, the Calallen volleyball team stormed back to defeat the Trojans, 15-13, 13-15, 15-6 in a Class 4A non-district match at Calallen.
Ashley Bonds had 13 kills and four digs, while Melanie Biggerstaff added 11 kills and Elizabeth Raef totalled four digs to lead the Lady Wildcats (11-2).
A R-F DEF. MILLER, A.P.: Rockport-Fulton cruised to a two-game victory over Miller, 15-5, 15-10, then rallied from one game down to knock off Aransas Pass, 4-15, 15-0, 15-8.
Laney Bardin had five kills in each match to lead the Lady Pirates (11-2) in the three-team match at R-F.
In the other match, Miller defeated A.P. in three games, 10-15,15-10,15-3.
A WOODSBORO DEF. ROBSTOWN 15-13, 15-4: Kasie Petropoulos racked up 11 kills and Charlotte Montalvo had six assists as the Class 2A Lady Eagles (3-4) beat the Class 4A Cotton Pickers on the road.
Heather Warmath led Robstown (0-7) with two kills.
A WEST OSO DEF. S-T 15-13, 9-15, 15-12: Chanta Prince had 10 kills, 14 digs and 10 blocks as the Lady Bears fought off the Lady Bobcats for a three-game victory.
Carmen Cardenas added 21 assists for West Oso.
