ANCIRA
ARANSAS PASS- Eliseo Ancira, 90, a resident of Aransas Pass, Texas since 1918, passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999 at a local hospital. He was born December 8, 1909 in Mexico to Martin & Atanacia Ancira. He was a cook for the Bakery Cafe for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his son; Salvador Ancira, his daughter: Oralia Ancira and his granddaughter: Linda Sue Cherry. He is survived by his wife of 66 years. Pauline Ancira of Aransas Pass: 3 sons: Albert (Josie) Ancira of Aransas Pass, Dan (Anna) Ancira of Houston and Eliseo (Carol) Cadena of Edinberg; 2 daughters: Anita A. (Encarnacion) Martinez of Port Lavaca and Emma (Joe) Naranjo of Aransas Pass, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited Tuesday, October 12, 1999 at 7:00p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 13, 1999 at 2:00p.m. at St. Mary's Star By The Sea Catholic Church with Father Mike Lenihan as celebrant. Interment will follow at Praire View Cemetery.
BARNES
Sue Farr Barnes, born on April 18, 1921 in Gulf, Texas to Elmer and Susie Farr went to rest on October 9, 1999 at the age of 78. Mrs. Barnes, who was a resident of Falfurrias for 62 years, was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Barnes, Sr. and two great-grandchildren, Bradley Russell Griffith and Meagan Nicole Copes.
She is survived by four sons: Rusty Barnes and his wife Margie Thomas of Spring, Texas; Gary Barnes and his wife Patricia of Orange Grove, Texas; Robert Barnes and his wife Lana of College Station, Texas; and Lloyd Barnes and his wife JaNelle of Luling, Texas. She is survived by two daughters: Cora Waters and her husband Jimmy of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Linda Sue Barnes of George West, Texas. She is further survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnes was an active member in the community and a well-known business leader in the real estate and insurance fields. She served in the Garden Club, Altar Society and was a large supporter of various youth organizations.
Rosary was held at Howard-Williams-Turcotte funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 11, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Falfurrias Burial Park.
Pallbearers: Humberto Guerra, Esteban Cantu, Leo Walker, Brad Walker, Carson Gates, Romeo Garcia, Lamar Perez.
Honorary Pallbearers: Redgy Sullivan, Rev. Ronald Bradford, Jim Williams, Robert Smith, Joe Taylor, Bill Isham, Sam Santana.
BRISENO
Juan F. Briseno, 26, of Corpus Corpus Christi, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 1999 in Houston, Texas. Services are pending with Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Kathryn Nemec Burgess, 57, of George West, Texas passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999, in a Corpus Christi hospital.

COLLIER
Patricia Mae Collier, 64, passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999 in a local hospital.
She was born March 31, 1935 in Laredo, Texas to K.M. & Ethel Mae Watson. Pat is a graduate of Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, Texas. She worked for the South Western Bell Telephone Company for 33 years as an operator, trainer and manager. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her mother, Ethel Mae Watson of Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter, Keri Quinn and her husband, George of Palestine, Texas; one grandson, Justin Quinn of Palestine, Texas; three siblings, Connie Lankford and her husband, Jim of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jean Ann Black of Marshall, Texas and K.M. Watson, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Jones Creek, Texas; five nieces, Sherry Black of Phoenix, Arizona, Janet Dollins and her husband, Joey of Kansas, Karla Nugent and her husband, Dennis of Clute, Texas, Jennifer Lankford of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kimberly Smith and her husband, Trask of Clute, Texas; one uncle, Wade Wharton and his wife, Jeannie of Washington State.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Ken Collier and her father, K.M. Watson, Sr.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 1999 at the Seaside Funeral Home, the family will be present from 6:00-8:00p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 1999 in the Seaside Chapel. Interment will follow in the Seaside Memorial Park.
GARCIA
Francisco C. Garcia, 90, passed away Monday, October 11, 1999.
He retired from American Smelting Refinery Co. after twenty-seven years of service.
Francisco is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Beatriz R. Garcia; one daughter, Olivia M. (Oscar) Ovalle of San Antonio, Texas; four sons, Oscar A. (Lucy) Garcia, Orlando R. (Genie) Garcia, Gerardo J. (Stella) Garcia and Daniel R. Garcia all of Corpus Christi, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. October 12, 1999 at the Seaside Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Seaside Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Seaside Memorial Park.
RODRIGUEZ
Gilberto "Latta" Rodriguez 60, of Orange Grove, Texas passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999 in a Corpus Christi hospital.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Rodriguez worked at Burnup and Sims Construction Company for many years.
He is preceded in death by one son Gilberto Rodriguez, Jr. and one sister Carlota Cortez of Portland, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Yolanda U. Rodriguez, Three sons Alberto (Glenda) Rodriguez, Joe (Belinda) Rodriguez all of Orange Grove, Texas. David (Judith) Rodriguez of Corpus Christi. One daughter, Diana (Adrian Pueblo) Rodriguez of Orange Grove, Texas. His mother, Petra Hernandez, Three brothers, Teodoro Hernandez, Valdemar Hernandez all of Kingsville, Texas. Ramiro Hernandez of Austin Texas. One sister, Idolina Esparza of Driscoll, Texas. Eleven grandchildren.
The Family will be receiving friends Tuesday October 12, 1999 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 13, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Robstown Memorial Park.
WILLIAMS
Glenna Belle Williams 67 of Corpus Christi passed away Sunday October 10, 1999. She worked for Oklahoma Power Gas and Electric and CPL.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years Bill Williams of Corpus Christi, on daughter Lisa (Jon) La Rue of Wausau, WI. Her mother Esther Schmidt of Corn, OK. One grand daughter Kerry La Rue of Wausau, WI.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 1999 at New Funeral Options in Corpus Christi. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund 109 E. Main Corn, OK. 73024. Interment will follow at a later date in Corn OK.
GUTIERREZ
INGLESIDE- Maria Gutierrez, 82, of Ingleside, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999 in an automobile accident. She was born March 10, 1917 in Beeville, Texas. She was a member of Word of God Church in Aransas Pass and was preceded in death by her husband, Avelino Gutierrez in 1993. She is survived by her son, Avelino Gutierrez of California; one brother, Jesus Delgado of Kileen; four sisters, Luisa Delgado of Beeville, Elumina Elizalde of Beeville, Celia Garcia of Sinton and Adelida Cano of Woodlands, California; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Prayer services will be conducted Thursday, October 14, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, October 15, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Chapel, Aransas Pass, with Rev. Gene Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.

Jay Richie Jones, 65, passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999 at his residence.

LEWIS
Marguerite "Margie" Carter Lewis of Corpus Christi died peacefully at her home October 10, 1999. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on July 27, 1916 to Oliver and Eunice Wallace Carter. Prior to marriage she modeled for Fred A. Block in Chicago, Illinois and for Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas. She was an avid golfer who loved the game and was actively involved in the River Hills Ladies Golf Association. She served as president in 1969 and 1978. She was also a founding member of the Inner City Club Play Organization.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheridan C. Lewis, Jr.; her parents; her sisters: Anna Mildred Pinnell, Betty Carter and Lynn Anderson; brothers: Reese Carter and Riley Carter.
She is survived by a son, Sheridan C. (Judi) Lewis III of Katy, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Lewis Mitchell and Michele (Jimmy) Lewis Laird both of Corpus Christi; sisters, Emma Gale Bartlett of Corpus Christi and Carolyn Gaskin of Lake Isabella, California; grandchildren: Sheridan C. "Chip" Lewis IV of Atlanta, Georgia, Samuel F. Lewis of Georgetown, Texas, Sarah Baldwin and Emily Baldwin both of Houston, Amanda Welch of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Colin A. Mitchell of Bend, Oregon, Wesley A. Mitchell of New Orleans, Louisiana, Andrew J. Laird and Stanton J. Laird both of Corpus Christi, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 1999 at 2:00 PM in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bobbi Kaye Jones, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.

INGLESIDE- Mary Lou Rodriguez, 48, a resident of Ingleside, Texas for over 24 years, passed away Sunday, October 10, 1999 in an automobile accident. She was born March 27, 1951 in Beeville, Texas to Avelino & Maria Gutierrez. She was a member of Word of God Church in Aransas Pass.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jerry Rodriguez of Ingleside and her brother, Avelino Gutierrez of California.
Prayer services will be conducted Thursday, October 14, 1999 at 7:00 P.M. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 15, 1999 at 2:00 P.M. at Charlie Marshall Chapel, Aransas Pass with Rev Gene Hale officiating.
Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
SALAZAR
Abel G. Salazar Jr., 27, passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 1999 at 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Corpus Christi Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corpus Christi Funeral Home Chapel.
WHITE
ROCKPORT- Patsy Ann White, 67 years old, passed away on October 11, 1999. She was born on May 7, 1932 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a past office manager for the Carbon Black Company.
She is survived by two sons, Vernon White (Merry) of San Antonio, Texas and Mark White (Elizabeth) of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Roger Rape of Mathis, Texas; one grandchild, Christopher White of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The family will have a special visitation Wednesday, October 13, 1999 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 1999 at 2:00 PM at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Rockport-Fulton, TX.
