Bishop 27, Ingleside 7
BISHOP - The Badgers' vaunted passing attack took a back seat to the rushing game, which pounded the Mustangs for 302 yards in a 20-point Class 3A victory.
Tailback Steven Gonzalez ran for 167 yards on 18 attempts and scored twice to lead Bishop (2-3). Gonzalez posted second-half touchdown runs of 10 and 1 yards.
Badger senior quarterback Cody McCarty, meanwhile, was efficient, completing 7-of-11 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns, this first a 7-yarder to Mark Salinas, the second a 13-yarder to Bobby Rios.
Brian Chatman ran for 141 yards and scored Ingleside's (1-4) only touchdown.
