   THE SCOOP: No one knows exactly what Jacksonville State has yet. In its season-opener, Jacksonville State was blasted by Auburn 93-54, but it bounced back to crush Morgan State 89-67 Friday in the Islander Classic ... It should be an interesting matchup between the two teams' centers as A&M-Corpus Christi's Jean Clark will battle Jacksonville State's Lisa Baswell. The 6-foot-2 Baswell scored 26 points against Morgan State. Clark, also 6-2, is averaging 11.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game ... Senior guard Heather Mayes is the Lady Gamecocks' outside threat. Mayes shot 47 percent from behind the 3-point line last season to lead the NCAA. She made 5 of 7 and scored 23 points Friday.
